Parent Testimonials

“We had no idea when we started at MMS how much a part of our lives it would become. Our son has grown so much and in so many ways, and we are so grateful for all the kind and constructive guidance he has received here. You have created and fostered a marvelous place here at MMS. We are deeply blessed to have been a part of it and thank you!”

“Our son was a little over 3 when he started at Mapleton Montessori. He had done so well and has been so happy there that we struggled with the decision of where he should attend Kindergarten . . . We are very happy that we have had the opportunity for our son to attend Kindergarten at Mapleton Montessori. As an only child, he has the opportunity at Mapleton to work with the smaller children and be a mentor of sorts as well as learn some patience working with the younger ones. He also gets to be a helper to the teachers and has developed independence in his work time.”

“Thank you for all your warmth and guidance with our boys this fall! They talk about you often, and it warms our hearts that they often say their favorite part of the day was going to school. We feel grateful to be part of such a special community at MMS.”

“I just wanted to express how happy my husband and I have been with our son’s education at Mapleton Montessori. He has really blossomed during his time at Mapleton. While I knew preschool at MMS would be a great fit – fun and educational, building his confidence and autonomy in everyday tasks, we were particularly pleased with our decision to have him attend kindergarten at MMS. He couldn’t have had a better year. The third year in your welcoming and supportive surroundings allowed him to progress in all the ways he needed. An inquisitive child by nature, he was delighted with the special units on space, dinosaurs, science, and nature. And, as his teachers knew him so well, they were able to challenge him in areas that were harder for him yet be sensitive to his needs and talents. Perhaps even more importantly, he was able to overcome much of his discomfort in large group activities (like Holiday programs) precisely because he had the support and encouragement of his teachers. As he became one of the “big kids”, he was able to mentor the younger children and increase his confidence and emotional maturity by doing so. I think the Montessori philosophy has been extremely helpful to him. His teachers have been receptive, responsive and shown a great deal of care and interest in his development. I truly believe they want to see every child reach their best potential and nurture them to do so.”
